I JUST LUV 2 FAUX!
At the age of 13, I began painting and free forming with my father. Fascinated with color combinations, decorating, furnishings, history and art, I grew to appreciate all the architectual beauty of Italy, France, Rome, Greece, Asia, and India. I dedicated myself to continuously developing my craft thus incorporating the art of faux finishing. Through my travels and faux projects , I have come to learn that each client although different in style and taste all want the finish that creates a little peace of heaven for them or the WOW factor. It is my desire to take my craft and passion to each client, listen to there needs and desire to create the ultimate look they want to achieve. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my impactors: God, my family, teachers, architect, builders, designers, decorators and clients who have over the years entrusted me to enhance and enlighten their home and/or business allowing me to realize some of my finest and most interesting work. I am grateful for these opportunities.

HISTORY
Faux finishing has been used for many years from cave painting to Ancient Egypt. But, what we generally think of it as faux finishing in the decorative arts is Plaster and Stucco in Mesopotamia over 5000 years ago.
Faux became hugely popular in Classical times in the forms of faux marble, faux wood, and Trompe l'oeil Murals. Instances from Greek and Roman times are known, for instance in Pompeii. A typical trompel'oel mural might depict a window, door or hallway, intnded to suggest a larger room.
Why Should You Faux?
Faux Finish Artisans create and develop finishes that can be applied to any kind of surface from drywall, masonry, metal or glass. It can hid imperfections and can make a room look larger or create a cozy atmosphere in a large and impersonal area. Even the plainest windowless event room can become a Tuscany Veranda or Italian Chateaux with open vistas, marble columns and comfortable garden niches.
Faux finish is also a way of creating the mood and atmosphere that you want in a space without breaking the bank . Real Copper, granite, marble, onyx and stone can run anywhere from $100.00 to $250.00 per square foot, Fossil Stone even higher per linear foot can have the look of real granite, stone or copper on kitchen countertops, furniture and walls without spending thousands of dollars to install real granite, stone or copper. With faux you can also create cozy leather, Ostrich , Leopard and /orElephant skin finishes in the den or family room where family unity occurs.
These finishes will give you at least the closest affect to the real thing as while you raise families, welcome friends and celebrate meaningful occasions in these spaces for years to come. Even after twenty years, the faux finish will look as nice and warm as when it was first applied.
